Saltwater River

Saltwater River is a small settlement established in the 1840s on the Tasman Peninsula in south east Tasmania, Australia. The tiny hamlet sits on this idyllic waterfront expanse, placed between two headlands on a delightful but unnamed bay.

Paddle out in our sit-on-top tandem Kayak to enjoy the magnificient sandstone cliffs at Deer Point. Kayak provided free of charge. The beach goes forever when the tide's out. Magic for romantic walks or a safe splash for young ones. It's a true escape!

The Convict Beach House is on a 12-acre property, located within the historic Saltwater River Convict Probation Station.
