Wildlife at Saltwater River includes Dolphins, Skate, Stingray, Flounder, Flathead - great fishing for you or the Sea Eagles, Hawks, Peregrine Falcons, Pied Oystercatcher, Black Swans, Egrets and Wedgetail Eagles. Collect your own Mussels or shuck Oysters off Deer Point. Disturb skate and flounder while walking through the shallows or glide over the top with our Tandem Kayak provided free of charge.
Our 12-acre property is part of a major landcare program to reestablish native fauna and flora. It is recognised as important habitat for a number of threatened and endangered species.
Beaches
Beaches and bays for surfing, kayaking, rock hopping, diving, cruising or swimming. There are so many to choose from that you often get to enjoy it just for yourself.
Wilderness Walks
The Tasman Municipality comprises the Tasman and Forestier Peninsulas; combined they offer the most diverse day walking options in Australia. Choose from 35 fantastic walks in and around Tasman National Park. From 15 min short easy family walks right up to hard, steep, rough tracks for the more adventurous.
